Refund policy

We curate (not manufacture) — partnering with a handpicked network of brands and designers around the world to bring you simple, beautiful, functional objects made for everyday use.

Because we stand behind everything we carry, we want you to feel good about what you bring home.

Full-priced items may be returned within 14 days of delivery. Sale items are final sale.

To start a return, just drop us an email at info@im-materia.com.  Once approved, return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. We offer a flat-rate return shipping label for $8 — just let us know when you reach out and we'll send one over. Please ship your item back within 7 days, with tracking, in its original packaging, unused and carefully packed. We suggest insuring the shipment for the original retail value, as items damaged in transit and lost packages remain the responsibility of the sender.

Original and return shipping charges are non-refundable, unless your item arrived damaged.

A small note on handmade goods — some of what we carry is made by hand, and those pieces carry the natural variation that comes with that. Differences in form and finish are part of their character, not a defect.

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll confirm by email and process your refund to the original payment method within 14 days.

If something arrives damaged, please reach out to us right away at info@im-materia.com with photos and a description. Damage claims need to be made within 48 hours of delivery.
